About the Timmins and District Hospital (TADH):

TADH is a 229-bed district hospital serving a local population of 41,000 and a catchment area of 110,000. The Timmins and District Hospital is a fully accredited referral and teaching hospital and offers a full range of Medical, Surgical, Critical Care, Maternal/Child, Long Term Care, Mental Health, and Addiction Services.

About the ER Department:

Our Emergency Department sees an average of 125 patients per day, 45,000 visits annually and has access to imaging modalities such as MRI, CT, and Nuclear Medicine. You will be joining a team of 20 part-time and full-time physicians (CCFP EMs/CCFPs) who provide exceptional patient and family-driven care. The ER is scheduled with five 8-9hr shifts per day with double or triple coverage aside from overnight. TADH would not offer the overnight shift to new locums.

Housing Options:

TADH has three (3) one-bedroom apartments nearby for locums. If not available, there are multiple hotels in close proximity to the hospital as well.

Travel:

Multiple direct daily flights from Toronto through Air Canada or Porter Airlines.





Supervision:
There will be collegial staff ED physicians that will be working alongside you throughout your shift. Supervision will be provided by phone, as needed, if your main supervisor is not scheduled during your shift.

Min Requirement:
PGY4 or PGY 5 residents currently enrolled in a FRCPC EM Program.

Additional Requirement:
Mandatory: ATLS, ACLS.

Remuneration:
Competitive AFA hourly rate
