Dryden Regional Health Centre - Rural ED Locum

Gain valuable work experience in our rural ED in northwestern Ontario!

Average ED volumes are ~45 patients per 24hr with most patients presenting during the day shift.

~75% of visits are CTAS 4/5.

Experienced and supportive nursing team and an ED NP works alongside the physician most days (10am to 10pm).

Local 2nd on-call, general surgery and anesthesia.

Local DI (CT, xray, ultrasound) adjacent to the emergency department, on-site lab.

Supervision:
Several local physicians on-site and locally available for support, including a designated 2nd on-call physician and Chief of ED, Dr. Luc Wittig. Collegial and experienced nursing team are familiar working with Learners and Locums in our ED.

Min Requirement:
No minimum requirement besides Resident Provisional Registration eligibility (18 months of training). +1 EM or RCPSC-EM both eligible.

Additional Requirement:
Current ACLS, ATLS

Remuneration:
$300/hr + travel/accommodation expense reimbursement through the NORSTAR Program

Start Date:
08/01/25

Call:
12hr or 24hr shifts. Day shift 0800-2000, night shift 2000-0800.
